      <image:title>Reiki - What is Reiki? The system of Reiki is a Japanese spiritual practice founded by Mikao Usui from the early 1900s that supports healing and personal development and promotes relaxation, compassion and wellbeing. The word Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) is Japanese meaning “Spiritual or Sacred Energy”; our true nature or essence. The word Reiki is also used to represent an original method of healing, activated by intention developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th Century. Everything has energy or “ki” in it. Ki is life energy that infuses every living being with vital life force. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us and we experience a sense of well being. When we are unwell the energy becomes blocked causing disease, fatigue, aches and pains, depression etc.</image:title>

      <image:title>About - I came to Meditation as a way to cope with the stress I was experiencing which was impacting my health and vitality. From feeling scattered and traumatised a daily meditation practice helped me to heal from the inside out, play a leading role in my own health and find a deep sense of peace within. For me meditation is a profound act of self love as well as a discipline. I have experienced huge benefits in personal growth and autonomy as well as clarity of thinking and a deeper more compassionate connection with myself. My daily practice is now an intrinsic part of my self-care routine. I cannot imagine life without it. My comprehensive training with the British School of Mediation covered many different styles of Meditation and also involved studying the scientific benefits of having a regular practice. In my classes and 1-1 sessions I often incorporate mindfulness poems and specially selected music to enhance awareness.</image:title>
